Boondi Raita







Ingredients:


2 cups Plain yogurt

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup sour cream (fat free or of your choice)

1/2 cup Plain Boondi (available at local Indian grocers)

1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper powder

1/4 tsp paprika powder

1 tsp Roasted Cumin powder

1/2 tsp coarsely ground Black pepper powder

Table Salt to taste

1/4 tsp black salt

1 tbl spoon cilantro chopped

1 small serano or jalapeno pepper chopped.



Method:


* Add boondi to warm water and let it stand for 2-3 minutes so that it becomes soft.

* Drain all the water out.

* Beat the yogurt, sour cream and milk to get smooth consistency.

* Add table salt, black salt, black pepper powder, cumin powder, paprika and chili powder.

* Mix well.

* Add boondi, cilantro and chopped jalapeno and mix well.

* Chill it for 1-2 hours.

* Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

* Serve chill as side dish with your favorite meal.
