Spicy Cayenne Pepper Chocolate Fudge

Fudge is a type of Western confectionery which is usually very sweet, extremely rich and frequently flavored with cocoa. It is made by mixing sugar, butter, and milk and heating it to the soft-ball stage at 240 °F (116 °C), and then beating the mixture while it cools so that it acquires a smooth, creamy consistency. Chocolate can also be mixed in to make chocolate fudge; many other flavors and ingredients are possible.

This Valentine's day I wanted to present you all with this spicy treat; My spicy cayenne pepper chocolate fudge. I made one 9 x 11 dish without nuts and to the second one I added roasted cashew pieces, as you can see in the pics.

Ingredients:

* 6 oz semisweet chocolate morsels

* 1 pack (8 oz square) of Baker's semisweet baking chocolate

* 1 table spoon cocoa powder

* 1 table spoon Kahlua

* 3 table spoons butter

* 1 can of condensed milk

* 1-2 table spoons of Cayenne pepper powder (to desired heat, I put 2 tbls of course :)

* 1 teaspoon vanilla

* 1/3 cup of roasted cashews (optional)

Method:

* Take all ingredients except cayenne pepper and vanilla in a microwave safe bowl.

* Microwave is for 1 min, stir mix everything and thus cook the mix in microwave for total of 6-7 min, (stirring in between every min) until you have a smooth mixture.

* Mix cayenne pepper and vanilla. (if adding roasted nuts you can add them now, I added 1/3 cup of roasted cashew pieces in one half of this recipe)

* Cook for 30 more seconds in microwave and mix well.

* Pour the mixture in two 9 x 11 greased pan, and press it will back of spoon or spatula or back of a stainless steel bowl (Katori) until top is smooth.

* Cool completely.

* Cut in to squares, I decided to do cut the plain fudge into heart shapes for the Valentines day theme and cut the fudge with nuts in to squares.

Happy Spicy Valentine's Day Everyone !!!
