Veggie Naan Pizza

This is a very common and popular recipe, there are several versions of this out there, here is how I make it.

You can use any Naan, but I like to use the one I buy from Costco, it is called stone fired flat bread or naan, they are oval in shape and come in pack of 6.

Here is what you would need:

* 2 Naans

* 1/2 green pepper

* Any other desired veggie topping, my favorite are mushrooms, but I did not use it this time.

* 1 small yellow onion

* 1 fresh jalapeno sliced

* 2 table spoon Olive oil

* 2 cloves of garlic

* 6 oz of Ragu Snack sauce (I use this, but you can use any pizza sauce or even Marinara sauce)

* 2 tablespoons of Pace chunky hot salsa

* 1/2 cup of Shredded Mozzarella cheese

* Dash of Italian seasoning

Method:

* Place griddle (tava) medium heat and place naan on it, cook on both side until light brown and not so soft any more.When both naans are cooked this way, set them aside to cool and become little crispy.

* Heat the pizza stone in oven at 450 F

* Slice of chop all veggies to desired chunks, finely chop garlic.

* Heat oil in a frying pan.

* Add a sprinkle of Italian seasoning and chopped garlic, saute for few seconds and add chopped veggies.

* Stir fry for 30 sec and turn the heat off.

* Divide the sauce and salsa in two parts.

* On the cooled naan, spread pizza sauce, and pace chunky salsa. (if you like you may brush some olive oil on other side of naan, but I didn't.

* Arrange slice Jalapenos on each naan.

* Evenly sprinkle cheese on it.

* Then arrange the veggies on the cheese.

* Place naans pizza on the heated pizza stone.

* Turn the heat down to 425 F and cook the pizza for 10 min or until the cheese bubbles.

* Serve hot.

Enjoy :)
